I currently work at Cedarville University in Ohio as an Instructional Designer. I got my Ph.D. degree in Curriculum and Instruction with the concentration in Educational Technology at Indiana State University (ISU) in 2018. Dr. Feng-Qi Lai, Dr. Susan Kiger, and Dr. Ryan Donlan were on my dissertation committee. The topic of my dissertation is the effectiveness of the modality principle in multimedia learning. During my Ph.D. study, I worked as a graduate assistant in College of Technology, the Department of Teaching and Learning, and the Information and Instruction Technology Service Center of Bayh College of Education.
I received both my Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Educational Technology from Shanghai Normal University (SNU). After I graduated in 2001, I became a faculty member at the Department of Educational Technology, SNU. I taught courses at both undergraduate and graduate level. I was promoted as an associate professor in 2008.
